Powers: rapid healing, energy-based shields, flight, and monkey sense. Also has the abilty to use his magic to read other languages and translate them into his own.

Personality: uptight and cross when he's working on something. Otherwise, relaxed and amicable. Also somewhat stressed because of worrying about his sister, hence his appearance around his eyes.

Miscellaneous Facts: Artemis works as a monk for the sun temple where the monkeys go to worship Eternus. He was not always so devout; when he was younger, he was often a rowdy individual and was known as a "stereo monkey", which means he was a casanova of sorts.

He eventually calmed down when he found out about his sister, who he is trying to look out for. He turned to the sun temple to become more astute to help her through her time of need. He still has desires like when he was younger, but he chooses not to partake, for according to him, it's "nothing I haven't already had".

Suffers from something the wizard monkeys call "philosopher's syndrome". This means that although he can learn spells, none of them will ever be offensive in nature. This is a congenital defect, or a birth defect, that only affects wizard monkeys. It also causes him to have two ticks: one involving being touched on his head, which causes him to involuntarily convulse and tremble for a brief moment, and the other being vague when explaining certain things, which causes him to scratch his arm and twitch his neck and eyes.

He becomes very single-minded when it comes to his work; he forgets about what his plans are afterward until he finishes, and even then, the memory is very fuzzy. He is also very dedicated, and he doesn't stop until he is either finished or forced to stop. He is also slow to warm up to others. However, when it happens, he's very loyal if you get on his good side. His loyalty is only equaled by his sincerity, meaning he will admit the truth, no matter how horrible it is. However, he finds it extremely difficult to nuance it when subtlety is required, often opting to just tell it like it is.

Although he is prideful, he is more than willing to cast aside his pride, especially if he's in the wrong. This is due to him not doing so when he was younger (he still cringes at his past self).

Because he is of little to no use on the battlefield, he speaks to the bloons on occasion, telling them he is of no threat to them, chiefly due to his birth defect. However, he can still use monkey sense and shimmer, and will certainly STILL spot and expose any camo bloons nearby. Also stops nearby bloons to impede progress temporarily. Despite this, the bloons are aware he can't do much, and will remain civil around him by not trying to go after him, which caused him to believe that the bloons have a code of honor that forbids them from attack those who cannot defend themselves at all.

Likes: Eternus, Shahra (his sister), Amelia (it's merely respect for her, but he does like her company), libraries, bloons (only when they're acting docile; besides that, he doesn't like them) literature, steel drums and steel guitars (he can play steel instruments like it's second nature to him, allowing him to make wonderful music)

Dislikes: Nocturnus (out of fear and pity because he knows Nocturnus is important to the world, and his work goes unappreciated, which makes him feel bad for the Vengeful Monkey), Amelia's attitude and body (he feels like her personality is uncalled for at times, and he likes the way she looks, but he is aware that he would not be a good choice for a significant other for her), his sister's detachments from sanity (he is VERY scared of this happening), and wattle trees (he is allergic to them, and he will get a rash if he comes in contact with one; he will also get a rash if he comes in contact with a boomerang, which is made from wattle trees; glaives, however, are perfectly fine, for they're made of something else)
