Tutorial # 2: Drawing and Texturing Hair — Description
This is just something I made very quickly to help keep in practice, so there may be typos or spelling errors. I'll try to update it someday. ^ ^'
This is the same method I use for texturing all hair on humans, anthros, and ferals.
It doesn't take a whole lot of effort, and I find it fun, though if this helps anyone out at all, then I'll be even happier. X3
I use the program GIMP (2.8 I think), though I've heard other programs have dodge, burn, and smudge tools, so I imagine this works with many programs.
I didn't talk about it in the tutorial, but I used separate layers for the coloring/main texturing, shading, lineart, and sketch. This is all a matter of preference, and is something I discovered from just playing around with layers. XD If you can make new transparent layers (something that took me years to figure out) than this should work.
