Description Fasolasuchus is an extinct genus of reptile that belonged to the Rauisuchian order, an evolutionary branch of crocodylomorphs (the order that includes nearly all crocodilians known to this day).
Its incomplete remains have been found in the Los Colorados formation in the Ischigualasto-Villa Union Basin and the creature was properly named by the late paleontologist José Bonaparte in 1981.
The Fasolasuchus is estimated to measure between 8 and 10 meters in length, making it the largest member of the Rauisuchian order, surpassing Prestosuchus in size (the latter measured around seven meters long).
This impressive animal lived in what is now known as Argentina during the Late Triassic, between 220 and 213 million years ago.
At the time, Fasolasuchus was in all likelihood the apex predator, hunting anything it deemed suitable prey items, including early dinosaurs.
However, the mighty can fall very harshly, and such was its case.
Not only has it possibly been one of the last surviving members of the Rauisuchian order, but it also went extinct during the Triassic Mass Extinction event, possibly due to rough climatic changes and the predatory dinosaurs becoming more efficient and successful definitely contributed to its decline.

Fasolasuchus supposedly makes its debut in the "65" movie starring Adam Driver, where it is erroneously depicted as being a ridiculously large creature contemporary to theropods that should be able to outcompete it by the Late Cretaceous (the damn thing is larger than a Tyrannosaurus Rex, and by larger, I mean, it's at least twice the size of its real counterpart) with a rather vengeful side and a leopard-like back structure.
It first appears when it attempts to attack Mills and Koa, being shot in the eye by the former before the duo is forced further underground, and latter reappears near the end, right after Mills subdues the T-Rexes, probably attracted by the commotion before chasing the "man" to a geyser area, until it is blinded on its remaining eye and scalded alive by the geyser.
