X-23 - Laura Kinney — Description
Created and raised in Cadmus Laboratories, X-23 was the first successful clone of the infamous mutant Wolverine. Her surrogate mother, Dr Sarah Kinney broke her out of the facility once X-23's powers manifested, due to her learning that Cadmus planned on using her as an assassin. Before setting X-23 off into the world, she gave her the name Laura, as well as the identity of his genetic "father", Wolverine. Tracking him down, X-23 requested Wolverine's help in taking down Cadmus for all they had done to her. He agreed.

During the raid on the facility, Wolverine and X-23 helped rescue numerous other clones and specimens in the labs, such as a young boy named Bentley, who turned out to be a clone of the facilities owner and world renowned super-villain, The Wizard.

X-23 returned to Xavier's School, Gotham Academy, with Wolverine. While she excelled in her classes, many students avoided her due to the rumours that surrounded her. She was soon invited however onto the school's Young X-men Team.
