Here's my interpretation of why Chara's wouldn't have wings; so they are both dead, but they haven't moved on yet. Those wings could symbolize the ability TO move on, and Asriel can move on if he wanted. Chara's regrets in life prevent them from being able to, and so; Asriel refuses to move on without his best friend.

That was Flowey, what Flowey did was completely out of Asriel's control.

If you think about it, if Alphys picked up another flower that hasn't some of Asriel's dust, he still would be flowey, but more cruel...
Alphys didn't know that those flowers grow up in the garden by Asriel, she just known that these flowers grow up in the king's garden... so, that Asriel gets a second Chance by staying inside flowey, to later being revived by flowey's power... it was just a huge, very huge luck...

That kind of depends on how you see it. Remember that Flowey talks about not feeling anything when he first woke up and that, without any emotion, he saw no purpose in his new life. He tried to kill himself, but at the last moment, loaded the save/reset using his determination, just like the player does. Was that the determination itself that made him not want to die? Or was it something deeper? Flowey shows the most emotions when he realizes that the player will kill him in the No Mercy route. He gets scared and cries before changing his face and voice back to Asriel's as a last resort.
Don't forget that he says he adopted his "kill or be killed" motto from Chara⦠represented by the player⦠this game's deep.
To me, it's not just determination that made Flowey. It's Asriel's pain AND determination that made Flowey.

So chara was alone while Asriel was alive...
And after did a Genocide run, because Chara have now our soul to live, Asriel will be alone forever ;-;
