Sonic Generations Motivational — Description

As part of Sonic the Hedgehog's "20th Anniversary", Sega released the game Sonic Generations.
which was truly the "Holy Grail" for anyone whose a fan of Sonic, and wanting some Nostalgia.

with Time Travel as a plot device, players got to play as TWO Sonics: The Modern Sonic that we know quite well by now..and, the Classic Sonic from way back in the Genesis/Jaleel White era.
game level were a stroll down memory lane. each one based on a previous sonic game,
but, were redone, and becoming somewhat of an improvement over the original version
(for example: a fully 3D version of the Green Hill Zone from the very first Sonic Game of 1991 is played.
and, it's quite a thrill for nostalgia seekers, I can tell you.)

Though, when it all comes right down to it..I get the feeling that
the inclusion the Classic Sonic, and redone versions of levels from the classic games,
MAY have been Sega's way of making the critics and "Gee-Whiners" shut up their mouths by giving them what they wanted.
It is no secret that quite a bit fans of Sonic are critical of how Sonic is portrayed today.
so, sort of bringing back the Classic Sonic might have been like "Cake and Ice Cream" after YEARS of eating "Broccoli and Brussels Sprouts."

Yeah, I know this is ALL for the 20th anniversary..but, one can't rule out the "Fandom Love Letter" theory, either.
