I actually don't like it though? ;_; I mean the plot is amazing and I love it to the core, but that humour...! Or rather, pointless connections with the modern popculture... I can't get through them. OTL' And they happen every single page. Please let me express my feelings toward that book in a comic: sta.sh/0q82yvpvtyc ... Maybe I'm just too old for a children's book. v_v;
(I read till the end of the first book and have all three on my shelf, but I can't quite gather enough courage to try the second book... ;;; )

That's alright! I definitely liked Artemis Fowl more, but I think he did okay with this trilogy. Garrick sold the book for me; I thought he was a fantastic and terrifying villain. The next two books aren't bad, but I could see that he wasn't getting as much popularity with them as AF. Personally, they seemed a bit unedited (over used phrases, throwaway references, asides), but I enjoyed the characters (well, mostly Riley). There is a lot of blood in the series for a kid's book tho.
(If not WARP, how about Airman? Or The Supernaturalist? Colfer's got a bunch of other cool books :3)

And back to W.A.R.P.: YES, I LOVED Garrick too! XD He was the best character in that book, second one being Riley. Ah, I'm glad I'm not the only one who liked the bad character best. xD''' (I was also super happy to see Otto Malarkey in there, but he had a really small role. I wanted to see more of him.)

I loved Airman so much I brought it to an Artemis Fowl signing <3 Someday, I want to build my own human powered flying machine. Or at least get to use one.
But yeah, I was absolutely terrified of Garrick for weeks after reading WARP. He was just sooooo good (and so bad
