Between. Underneath. — Description
+ I'm often inspired by darker themes; shadows, nighttime, dusk, and pictures cropped in odd places. I feel that shadows encapsulate only a portion of the human condition, a glimpse into the moment or situation. While fleeting, these moments can be powerful. And in this particular instance, and moment of my life, I was trying to distinguish the difference between what I wanted and what I had, body-wise. In my mind, in the darkest parts of my subconscious, I was anorexic. I was insecure. I felt burdened by the plastic mannequin and what it imposed upon my body, my flawed person, every single day.+
+ In hindsight, my shortcomings were all mental, but like so many things, I didn't know that then. Not as I know now.+
+Which leads us to the song. Why this song? Well, I felt led by it, moreso by the chorus "when I see a man, I see a lion. When I see a man, I see a liar," because that's the intent behind the picture, visually and otherwise. What do you see? A woman, or a mannequin? A woman or a liar?+
