Description
This is a painting I did for a 'What If' model kit box featuring vehicles operated by UNIT (from 1970s era Doctor Who). The two figures are Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart and Sargeant Benton. The Land Rover is based on a real vehicle as seen in the show. The tank is based on the infamous appearance of the tank in the story 'Robot'. The ever budget conscious programme made use of a large toy 'Action-Man' tank. Unfortunately there was little done in terms of additional detailing or weathering to help pass it off as a real tank.
I like like this painting. It has a non-perfect, overcast day feel to it - such as we see frequently in the UK.
