Breed: Highland Pony
Height: 13.3hh

Danu is a brand new OC I created as Air Element (as a guardian.) She is very anti-social, she hates communication and being around other horses, and when she is it's only to help the others with a job. She never shows herself to the mortals but has probably been spotted gliding through the air on some occasions. Danu didn't want to be a guardian, so the whole grieving process turned her sour, she never wants to trust and love again because she doesn't want the risk of being backstabbed, so she switched her feelings off, however she still cares for her friends. She can be very sarcastic at times. Danu is not aggressive, she just doesn't speak much but when she does she always has something relevant to say. Danu is also very good at what she does, she is element 'Air', she has the ability to fly and can manipulate the wind, air, storms, the clouds, when she is allied with element 'Water' they can make it rain.

Danu's background was very simple, she was a barnyard Highland Pony who was kept on a pretty farm in Dorset, England 1800. Her owner Mary had used her as a thrill riding pony. One day Mary was riding in the great fields of Dorset along with her dog, full of cliffs and high ridges, but Danu loved the adventure. She was a bright, fiery mare that had an attitude. Her devotion to her owner showed the day she died, a hunting group had trespassed out of foxing grounds illegally to shoot an ill horse. Mary wanted to stop them but in the process of protest the group had warned her to back off, threatening to shoot Danu. Mary protested more until a unwell mannered man had aimed his gun at her to scare her off, Danu's initial reaction was to fight, so she threw herself in the man's direction to protect Mary, resulting in a suspected gunshot to the head. (sorry it's brief) she came down, her body rolling down a hill lying at the edge of a cliff.

'The suspension was overwhelming, all I felt was pure restriction. My head was throbbing...I just remember a lot of blood and a falling sensation. There were lights that were approaching...whispering muffled chants as the placed themselves on my body. I felt them but I could not see, but I wasn't afraid. 'Unite with your new brother, winds are changing and your soul is now at one with the sky. Fly, element Air.' I was slightly freaked out, my life had changed and when I realized why I was angered, why not just leave me to die...instead of prolonging my pain into immortality.'
