Venter - M9 'Lazyboy' RPG — Description
The M9 "Lazyboy" RPG is a nearly ubiquitous element of modern warfare. The simple 3.5kg launcher's light weight, rugged construction and wide variety of ammunition make it an extremely popular choice, especially with its ability to use guided and top-attack munitions.
Most recently the weapon gained notoriety in the raid on the Jhana AI core in the Paabaebwunglum jungle preserve O'Neill Cylinder.

Operation of the launcher is simple, a round is seated into the front of the 55mm tube, the safety is disengaged, target lock is achieved on the scope (with selection between direct-fire and top-attack), then at the pull of the trigger a gunpowder charge launches the projectile out of the barrel while simultaneously propelling a liquid countermass rearwards. This countermass works to dampen the backblast of the weapon, allowing it to be fired safely from inside structures with only a few meters space behind. As the projectile reaches 10m distance, the rocket motor ignites and the round flies to its target.
