I sighed the device (false endings a literary choice I've felt a flaw since Lord of the Rings)
yet we remain at the storytellers mercy, so I waited

this epilogue was inventive but repetitive and turned too mordant, the narrative had nothing left to say
til saying nothing seemed best
and thus ........

too much silence though is hard edge to a wish for more
so recently I've searched again for subtle shifts and chance to change the arc
trying to shape words disjointed by neglect into dialog
keeping the shadows where the sun put them
wondering if this could be, might continuation redeem cause
time tried patience fed need to know, folly of a fool
to envision is a fear and a toll on the soul
yet I asked ...
