History:

Kit:
Brackenkit has almost no clue who his parents are, being found by a Flareclan cat named Vixenwhisper and adopted as her little brother on the outskirts of Flareclan territory. Now as a member of Flareclan, and a rather out-of-place one at that, Brackenkit doesn't really... speak to anyone and constantly tries to follow his new big sister whenever she goes out of camp.

At times, she does take him with her, once having him place with a wandering Wildclan kit named Trilliumkit. Even after the three of them got into trouble, he seeks to have them all together.

This leads him to escape to Wildclan camp, planning on an adventure time for him and Trilliumkit, after having met her adopted father Dan and nursemaid Toyontuff.

He was fine with trying to go on adventures with Trilliumkit until the Flareclan fire... The clan, when noticing the flames and later being warned by a Fernclan apprentice named Barkpaw, he was taken by sister to neutral territory, where he and the rest of the clan waited to any of the missing cats. Several members went into the flames to try and look for them but only returned with nothing. Soon other clans, including Toyontuff and Trilliumkit, came to the neutral territory and offered help to the clan, leading to it splitting up for some time until their territory was done being on fire. During this time as well, the fernclan apprentice that came to warn them was being interrogated by Vixenwhisper and Fleetclaw, being suspected for being the starter of the fire, but the most that came of it was Barkpaw admitting to meeting apprentices from other clans and being punished by Fernclan's leader Bluestar for such. Two of the apprentices had been bearclan ones that Larkblaze, the deputy, went to find and make sure they were okay.

Also during this time, Dan came by with a loner named Jekyll, introducing the new tom to the kits as Dan went to talk to Toyontuff.

With the clan split up among the other clans, Brackenkit went with his sister to Wildclan where Trilliumkit and Toyontuff were. This would make his apprenticeship a bit harder as he soon turned 6 moons old...

By then, in the midst of awkward growth spurts and all, Brackenpaw had to say goodbye to Trilliumkit when she decided to leave and join the Windwalkers after he tried to comfort her and attempt to give wisdom on the matter. He didn't want to say goodbye but had to anyway... After telling Dan and Toyontuft about Trillium leaving, making sure to wait about an hour after the fact, he found a trillium flower left in his temporary nest in the apprentice den. He's made it a point to constantly wear it.

He asked Toyontuft to help with some battle practice, feeling a bit awkward about his mentor being Shimmerstar.

Upon all the Flareclan cats that didn't die during the split up returning to camp, Brackenpaw found himself lonely. Vixenwhisper hadn't been acting the same as usual, he didn't really talk to anyone in the clan, especially his mentor and leader Shimmerstar. The next gathering, he sought out Toyontuft, and Dan had also come to spend time at the gathering with the two, proposing for the three of them to go after Trillium and the WindWalkers.
