Making An Impression — Description
Dani twirled about, looking at her reflection in the mirror. The hyena-cat wasn't quite sure of the new dress she wore. She glanced over at the werewolf nearby, chuckling as he scratched behind his ear with a hind paw.
"Lizard?" she said. "Lizard, what do you think about this?"
Lizard didn't respond, too caught up in getting rid of his itch. Dani raised an eyebrow and tossed a slipper at him before addressing him by his real name.
"Hey, Steve!"
Lizard jumped and glanced over, causing Dani to laugh as he absentmindedly picked up the slipper and chewed on it.
"What do you think about this dress?" Dani asked again.
Lizard frowned as he inspected her before smiling and nodding.
"Lizard thinks Dani looks good," he said.
"Do you think it'll be OK for a date?"
"Of course," Lizard replied. "Lizard thinks Wulf will love Dani and dress."
The werewolf glomped the hyena-cat, lifting her up. She was his dear friend, and like a little sister to him. He was so proud of her. Dani gasped and hit him over the head playfully when he finally let her down.
"Lizard, stop that."
She smiled.
"I'm just so nervous though."
Lizard smoothed out her hair, stepping back. His goofy nature faded slightly as he regarded her.
"Dani doesn't need to be nervous," Lizard said. "Dani loves Wulf, and Wulf loves Dani. So why worry. Lizard says Dani should have fun. Enjoy date. Be happy."
Dani blushed slightly and nodded.
"I shall," she said.
The hyena-cat turned and started towards the door, pausing to look back at the werewolf.
"Thank you, Lizard. For everything."
Dani left the room with a wave.
"Wish me luck," she called out. "And don't wait up..."
