Magic Time — Description

She always wanted to be a magic girl but thought she'd never get to be due to conditions she couldn't control at birth. Turns out she just needed to believe in herself.

This is a picture I just finished close to an hour ago(about 7:55 or so) for Clip Studio's 35th art contest, the theme was magic so I did a redesign of a sewing themed magic girl I drew once, she's now a sewing/scrapbook themed magic girl.

I finished this last minute & the background/some effects are a little rushed due to trying to finish before the deadline. I kinda wish I could have done the background differently along with some effects but I had to give up & rush around cause I forgot where some of the brushes needed were.(Such as beams of light & my galaxy texture brushes, even some star shapes for the background I saw at one point) If I had the chance I'd have done the background a bit different & maybe ad some shine to the ribbon on the magiv needle staff. Maybe add some galaxy texture clouds around the magiv girl form's legs to so it looks more dream like or something instead of looking like someone is jumping up from behind her civilian form.

This pic ended up getting submitted a few minutes late as my computer blue screened/crashed just as I was hitting the post button, had to wait a bit cause everything felt like it was loading slowly. Not sure if my submission counts but that's all I can do now. I seem to keep getting these contest pics done last minute & submitting minutes before the end of the the deadline on the final day(in this post's case a couple minutes after), I keep getting held up only to notice a little late.(I wasn't even able to get to the last contest due to noticing at the deadline) With luck I try to get around to things earlier next time.
