I like how the red on the tail fades dark at the tip and the way you made him so fluffy and soft looking. The marking on the back food it cool too!
I hope I'm not off base though why I say that the black aura around him makes the character a bit difficult to see. making it slightly transparent would help I think, and make the cool texture apparent though the black
