Wyrm, Hydra — Description
This is the Hydra. Probably the most legendary of wyrms. And in a fantasy world outside of Greece it is much larger being a part of the wyrm family, the real hydra was really quite sad and the heads were literally the size of normal snakes and they all came out of a scaly ball the size of a large medicine ball used for exercise. This was very underwhelming when I found out so I chose to ignore that, like most modern fantasy genres and make it big and menacing, BUT keep it snake-like. The problem with the original hydra is that anyone could kill it with an IQ above 80 (above Heracles), it's so small, just burn it, you could pour oil on it at a safe distance it was so small, shoot flaming arrow, Viola! Instant hero out of a nobody.

This version he (or they) is/are about 80 feet long on the average, live iin swamps, just like the original, and don't poses a breath weapon, nor any poison, although they're snake like. They prefer tearing their victims apart. I gave them a mouth more suited to do so and less snake-like. Kind of like a dinosaur-snake head. Their heads grow back but not instantly and probably takes days to weeks. Not sure if 2 grow in it's place, though. It would eventually be a giant chaotic ball incapable of locomotion, the ones at the bottom of the swarm would drown, rot and disease spread through the rest of the body, it dies, yea...doesn't work.
