“I’m looking forward to it” I reassure her. I’m glad my wife feels safe enough to truly open her heart to me, yet I still feel guilty to have to cut her expectations. “By the way, since phase one I’ve always felt… unworthy, because you were already more beautiful than me… before you got stunning”.

“Thanks!” my companion beams.

“…and you told me that now I’m beautiful too, but I haven’t been able to look at myself yet. May I?”.

Margaret looks surprised. “Oh gosh, sorry! Of course you can!”.
With that, she lifts me up from the bed once more. But this time, she’s accompanying me to meet my… new self.
