This is my submission for the spitfire Mother's Day Contest at
For a couple weeks previous, I had wanted to draw Kanga knitting and Roo demanding her attention by wrapping the scarf she was making around his neck and pretending to be a super hero. This contest gave me my reason to draw it, and draw it quick!

Kanga is my favorite Disney mom, right there with Queen Elinor. She's patient, kind, soft-spoken and just the epitome of mom! She's my favorite character in the 100 Acre Wood as well.
This is also one of those rare times when a picture has come out better than how I saw it in my mind. I love her expression, and I feel it captures her love for her baby perfectly.
