Description
Logic clearly dictated that what should be occurring at the moment was the extraction from the situation she and Sirrus were currently bound into. However, this was not what T’Paz was directly doing. She had just finished recalling to herself a quote the great philosopher T’Planna Hath’. That Contemplation was the root of wisdom. Not that she needed to do so, but rather to bide time.
In short, she was patiently waiting.
What T’Paz was waiting for was her remarkably impulsive, emotional, reckless, and totally illogical “Partner in Crime”, as Sirrus generally referred as to their partnership to calm herself sufficiently that she might reach into her vast vault of useless trivia and provide some solution to their predicament. The solution would likely be completely ignorant and just as impossible, as well as prove even more dangerous than the current problem in hand. These “solutions” rarely worked out as Sirrus thought, yet they seemed to always change the situation enough that the goal of it came into being.
It was just the waiting. Which T’Paz was wondering if Sirrus could calm herself.
For their present condition was not arrived as tidy as it seemed. For Sirrus had put up a great deal of reluctance before they had been left alone immobilized, and in a rather chilled room to add insult to injury. Since then Sirrus had flexed and stretched and grunted and issued a good deal of vivid metaphors that dealt mostly with the personal preferences of their captors and guards and something called “Kale.” But Sirrus had since gone silent. This hopefully meant something promising might be forthcoming.
“Hey….Tee.” Sirrus finally said in a rather calm voice. “Sirrus..” T’Paz replied with a slight note of disapproval in repeatedly having her name shortened, something she allowed only Sirrus to do. There was a pause. One that T’Paz was expecting.
“You remember that scene in ‘The Last Crusade’, where Indy and his dad were tied up by those Nazis or somebody?” Sirrus said slightly sheepishly. “The one where they nearly were burned alive still tied to each other?” Asked T’Paz in the most emotionless tone she could muster. “They got out though.” Sirrus added with a wry smile.
“Proceed..” Replied T’paz as her eyes rolled.
