Lythia: Aki and Riak - 4 — Description

Long through the morning they walk deeper into the wood. The mushrooms slowly fade into memory as a scattered mess of lanky trees replace the thicker ones. Mist dresses the flora around them. All is silent.
Aki and Riak walk ahead of Aki's father, completely silent, deep in contemplation. Neither dared to speak, they knew the older man would hear, even whispers would echo in this place. Ever so slightly Aki turns his head to see past his hair to Riak. Never before had he considered using his friend, but the thought was tempting. That power unknown to Riak that possessed in his small Dreknot body. He could do it though, it wouldn't be that hard. But would it be right?
