Contest:Thunderbat... — Description
2nd entry for 's Amalgam Contest!
hopefully not too late. yay last minute entries!

While exploring an extensive cave system in Northern Iceland, chiropterologist [he studies bats ] and intrepid adventurer Wayne Torbin descovers artifacts of an ancient Storm Cult, who worshipped a powerful thunder deity through his earthly avatar, the bat. Unwittingly, Torbin disturbs the dormant god and is entered by his spirit. Consequently Torbin can borrow the power of the thunder god by surrendering his will to that of the deity. Although the god is at first disdainful of modern humanity, and particularly Torbin as his mortal host, he ultimately gains respect for humans and forms a pact with Torbin to use his divine power to combat evil and wrongdoing, operating under the code-name Thunderbat.

Thunderbat is encased in a form-fitting silver armor, with a red cloak that mimics bat wings. He can summon and channel lightning at will.
