Black Lotus Progress - Phase One Detailing... — Description
It's been a little while since I posted progress on my Black Lotus outfit for Hivewire3D's Dawn character. Created a new mesh again as I'm trying different apps and techniques but really happy with this one.

Here's a look at the base mesh with phase one of the detailing work done. Just the inset panels with their piping mapped out in ZBrush with polygroups visible. Roughly 25,000 polys for the mesh. ZRemeshed a ZSphere rig for the base mesh, then retopo'd the gloves and boots separately by hand because I wanted a very specific polygon flow in several areas where ZRemeshing just wasn't cutting it.

Also tried auto-remeshing those in 3D-Coat and Mudbox without satisfactory results although Mudbox in particular had some advantages. It's dual level guide curves is a feature ZBrush could definitely benefit from.

Phase Two will involve modeling seams, finishing the piping and boot soles.
