Description So for those of you who haven't heard yet, Nickelodeon bought the Ninja Turtles earlier this week.

Not aquired TV rights or movie rights or anything like that... I mean they bought the entire franchise. As in, Mirage Studios no longer owns them at all. Peter Laird has written in his blog as to why he sold the Turtles, and I can understand completely.

That doesn't stop me from being concerned. So I drew this little editorial cartoon while I tried to sort out my feelings on the subject.

Basically, each of the guys reflects a little part of what I think about it.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles = looking wistfully back at the past; for better or worse, I suspect the TMNT will never be quite the same.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles = ranting. X) I worry that Nickelodeon might ruin the Turtles and/or not respect their history when they make their new CGI series. I fear they may be doomed to be kiddy forever now.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles = trying to reason with the "OMG RUINED FOREVER" side of me, but still worried. After all, even kiddy things can be good when written well. But how often does that happen...?
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles = enthusiastic at the good opportunities this sale could result in, if everything goes right.
