Well, you were right when you said this one wouldn't disappoint me.. it rocks! It may be your best one so far, indeed..
Some things though:
- I want a bigger version! 1280x1024 preferrably, and although I'm at 1280x960 myself, I still believe the former res is the best one to make wp's, and you can easily resize to 1280x960 anyway.
- I partly agree with staticshock. The grey-ish colors give it a 'weak' impression; what I suggest is that you make the inital bg black, the shape fade out to black (= the bg), and the font work and other line-ish fx brighter/whiter. In other words, more contrast.
It reminded me of Contact too, btw, which is a good thing Keep up the good work!

hmm the way i see it, this picture is pretty good and the idea reminds me of the sphere from Contact, if anyone ever saw that movie. But the picture looks too damn faded out. Greyish, weak, "old" if you will... although it is standard to have everything fade to black, i still think that would have been a better choice.
