This is a new style for me of vector artwork created with Illustrator CS5, the technique I use is to draw a path mostly with the help of the wacom tablet I have. When i create a shape I select a color then change the opacity and usually apply the multiple layer effect and then set a gaussian blur depending on the size of the object.
