I'm very yuri-only, and especially when it comes to RD, since she's symbolic to me. I decided to try and capture the real RD's reaction and subsequent "problems" from the existence of the fic. As I said in another comment to you, I am a lesbian, and I think I have pretty good lesbidar. I view Rainbow Dash as a lesbian for her actions in-show, not for the rainbows and such.

To be honest, it's not really that limiting, because I would really only write yuri anyway. xD

You are, however, right, that yuri fans are willing to ignore facts -- so are yaoi fans, and even many het shippers. x3

That being said, Butterscotch is one of my idols and almost always writes yuri -- so I felt kinda trolled, hence the title, "Trollerscotch Gets Re-Trolled." It was a lighthearted attempt to poke back at one of my writing idols for writing something that made me cry. ;~;

I have heard a few lesbians say that, so maybe I don't have enough contact with homosexuals to know, but the creator said herself that Rainbow Dash is no more or no less lesbian, bi, straight then any of the others. Heck to be honest I would consider it likely that all the ponies in MLP are bi.

Actually I admit my famorite pairings for Rainbow Dash is with either Applejack or Fluttershy, though I have enjoyed ones with Pinkie Pie too.

As I remembered, Lauren Faust's comment was specifically, "their sexuality is left undetermined," and I think it's a good thing she did that, for the sake of the fans, including the younger ones.

I've heard a lot of people say it's likely all the MLP ponies are bi, too, lol.

From my personal reads, I would say that RD, Scootaloo, Twilight, and Rarity are definitely lesbian.

Rarity is a very typical closeted lesbian -- she acts very flirtaciously with girls, but talks about boys. From Twilight, it's really more of just a vibe I get from her, but I may be biased because of how deeply I identify with her persoality. Scootaloo, though, is a Rainbow Dash fangirl, and taking my initial assumption about RD from her behavior, it only stands to reason that Scoots is lesbian too. Not only does she appear to have a crush on RD, she also wants to be just like Dash.

I would agree that Fluttershy and Pinkie are probably bisexual, based mainly on the vibes I get from them.

I like to think that Sweetie Belle is a lesbian...and she does also idolize her sister like Scoots idolizes Rainbow Dash...but to be honest, I can't really tell because there's nothing clear in ther series. Again, I might be biased, because I ADORE Sweetie Belle, and I see myself in Scootaloo almost as much as Twilight (I know, kinda weird, huh? But I was thinking of it as, Scoots is the most like me of the younger fillies), so therefore I want to see Scoot x Sweetie.

Applejack and Apple Bloom are very hard reads, for me. I mean, I'm sure they're at least bisexual, but I don't know beyond that.

And that's my personal analysis of their sexualities.

I'm not sure exactly how you mean it when you talk about the feminist influence, but everyone has their own definitions of feminism. I personally do consider myself a feminist, completely! So much so that I believe women don't need men in any capacity. ^.~

I'm not averse to having male friends, mind you! I have several, including yourself (I count you since we've been having a rather deep psychological conversation here).

I tend to think almost all women IRL are at least bisexual -- mainly because I have a charismatic ability of my own to get women to consider trying lesbian things even if they see themselves as being straight. xD It doesn't always work, though, so I do realize there are a few diehard staighties out there. I think it's actually because of the feminist influence that I don't see any diehard straight-types in MLP!

I consider most of the background mares & fillies lesbian or bisexual, too (Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon are practically canon lesbian -- they behave like a couple in-show).

The only character that I can truly say might be straight is Derpy, and that's likely due to people's constant pairing of her with Dr. Whooves. xD She was obviously straight or bi at least at one point in her life, though, since she has a child! -- And that reminds me, Star Sparkle (Twilight's mom) and Pinkie's mom (Mrs. Pie, I guess?) have the same thing going on. Mrs. Cake, though she doesn't have a child, is obviously straight or bi, too, for that matter...the more I think about it the more background ponies I can pick out that could be straight, lol.

I should once again throw in the caveat, though, that I do see the world through yuri-goggles and am therefore likely to assume a girl is bi, and require less proof to believe that she's lesbian than that she's straight, lol.

My only annoyance as I said is how some fans insist on things, like for example some fans insisting Rainbow Dash is gay (which is funny because of how I have enjoyed RD ebing paired with Applejack and Fluttershy.

Well, I don't think RD is gay. I insist she's lesbian! xD (Feminist moment there, actually -- the "blanket" term, in my opinion, is homosexual.) It is kinda funny -- I definitely think you'll like my mini-series "The Adventures of Pimp Dashie," then, because she hooks up with Pinkie, then Fluttershy, and then Spitfire (and stays with all of them in a four-way relationship, because I can easily see FlutterPie working, too, and over time, FlutterFire...and Pinkie loves everypony! ).

My favorite characters? Well, I thought it was rather obvious, actually -- Rarity, Twilight, Sweetie Belle, and Scootaloo. x3 I'm absolutely in love with the personalities of Rarity and Sweetie Belle, and I see myself in Twilight and Scootaloo, so it's only natural. I'd have to say that Rainbow Dash and Princess Luna are very close to being in my favorites, and that, of course, I have love for all the mane six and CMC, as well, for different reasons. I don't really dislike any of the main characters, which is why I changed my signature about Princess Celestia -- I realized I do like her, but I personally do see her as being a little overzealous with her power.

I dislike Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon for their stuck-up attitudes, but I plan to write a redemption/poetic justice fic about them to show that they're capable of genuine feelings, too.

I dislike Trixie for her narcissistic behavior, but I still enjoy reading Twixie-shipping fics and looking at Twixie-shipping pics, and I believe under her hardened exterior is a pony who just desperately wants attention. I'm writing a fic about her too, LOL -- though I'm pairing her with someone uncommon.

I like Cheerilee; I think she's a greatly underappreciated background character.

The negative memes...well, let me address your specific ones.

Scootabuse -- it depends on whether it's funny or meant for emotional effect or not. If it's purely for the sake of being mean to a disliked character, I hate it. The chicken joke is also ridiculous...that was only funny when Apple Bloom said it, because of the situation. When I mention "funny" Scootabuse, I mean things like Scoot fangirling over Dash and Dash trying to pry her off, that kinda thing. I don't even really count that as Scootabuse, though. When I said "for emotional effect," I was thinking of this: [link] I personally don't consider this Scootabuse either, but some might. To me, the term means more the idea of putting Scootaloo in something just to make her look bad, and that, I despise.

Sweetie-abuse -- RRRGH, one of my biggest hates in the whole fandom, right there, along with Rare-abuse. Sweetie is NOT stupid, she's just a little scatterbrained. I've cached it in Dungeons & Dragons terms before -- there's nothing wrong with her INTelligence, her WISdom is just a little low. As for Rare-abuse, I'm effing sick and tired of people calling Rarity shallow, materialistic, a bitch, things like that, or portraying her that way. She's totally not...she's the Element of Generosity for crying out loud! While she does act pompous at times, she's one of the quickest ponies to realize her mistakes and apologize for them, then learn and grow from the experience. The following groups were ALL created to combat Rare-abuse and Sweetie-abuse: and I'm a proud member of them all.

The Celestias memes...
Tyrant: Well, I don't really think she's a tyrant, but I do see her being a little too loose with her power. I understand that Nightmare Moon was posing a threat, but it was her sister inside there, and she banished her for a frickin' thousand years. That seems excessive to me.
Trollestia: I think this is hilarious, no offense. Celestia does occasionally troll ponies canonically in the show (Examples: Episodes 1-2 [where she sends Twilight out to make friends to stop NMM; she basically uses a mentally of "the ends justify the means" for this], Episode 22 [the teacup thing AND the fact that she pauses for dramatic tension before getting Philomena to rise from the ashes], and Episode 26 [inviting the mane six to the Gala at all was a troll to begin with; she admits it near the end]), and I think her sense of humor is actually one of her positive qualities. I like seeing Trollestia (notice, I call her that in my sig).
Molestia: It really depends on how bad it gets. Joking stuff about her filly-fooling, I think is cute and funny. If she ties ponies up and tries to force stuff on them, no, just no. Not only is that agsinst her character, it's wrong in general.

Shipping...is basically a matter of taste, in my opinion, though there are certain ships I do oppose (anything het with RD or Twilight, for example...or anything with Blueblood [anyone who ships him with someone, ESPECIALLY Rarity, missed the entire point of Rarity's encounter with him in the Gala episode]). Otherwise, I'm not averse to most ships, though some crack-ships (even yuri ones) do annoy me. With the mane six, though, there pretty much aren't any crack-ships...except maybe ApplePie or RariPie, but as I've said before, Pinkie loves everypony and could probably make it work over time).

Actually, for good or for bad, as there really isn't any mane characters that are colts/stallions so your consern is mostly a mote point. Personally I would think if there was more developed male characters there would be a lot more shipping the mane six with colts/stallion.

On Celestia, this is how I see the situation. How do the Elements of Harmony work, well with friendship of cause. Which brings be to my next point, how do ponies treat Celestia? Well when you take what is in the show, Celestia isn't treat like a pony but a near goddess. Ponies are always bowing or worry about pleasing her and freak out if they think something is not going right. How has Celestia reacted? Well she has always had a calm playful air about her, yet to an extent I feel Celestia is much wearing a mask. That in reality she is frustrated about the fact of how ponies treat her, that she wish ponies would just act natural around her as if she wasn't royality.
Then lets look at immortality, as Celestia has lived for over 1000 years. What can and does immortality do to another? Watching all those you care about grow old and pass on, trying to avoid getting close to pervent the pain of ther passing yet still trying to be helpful and friendly.

I like to see it this way... Luna was Celestia's only friend, and could ever be her only true friend as no one else would be able to understand Celestia. So imagine what it was like finding out that her sister had been taken over by some dark force/being/energy/ exc (Canonly NMM came about because of possession)? The tv show seem to more then suggest that NMM was more powerful then Celestia, which would explain why she needed the EoH in the first place. Yet as the EoH can only be used a certain way, with friendship, and how Celestia didn't have any friends she had to used the EoH by herself.
Did you consider that because of this she was unable to use the EoH effectively? That maybe she didn't know what the EoH would do? That it was simply a desperate act during a desperate time? That Celestia could not use the EoH in the way intended, releasing Luna from the force that controled her, and the EoH did what thye could which turned out to be banishing to the moon for however much time.

It would also explain Celsetia's actions during the pilot as she know she could not defeat NMM, nor that Twilight would be able to stop her without first making frieands. So when Twilight sent a letter that she know of teh situation, Celestia sent a letter back telling her to go to Ponyville and make friends. So in a sense this move by Celestia was something of a gambit, having to rely on her beloved pupil to save Equestria.

Now on the good natured pranks I am fine with, it is when people try saying she messes with ponies just to mess with then to be a troll. Then there is what I believe a troll is, which is someone that for kick and giggles tries to get others mad/upset/exc and is not above using hurtful tricks to get their laughs.
I guess it is mostly the name. if someone were to say that Celestia is something of a trickster and make jokes or pranks to help someone relax I would agree.

On the gay/lesbian 'title', if you would notice I have for the most part post lesbian, I just missed it last post around. Now on to the next bit. See even you insist Rainbow Dash is lesbian! You can say you see her as lesbian, and prefer her that why, but to insist she is goes against what is canon. Which is that sexual oriantation is not brought up and that it is open for interpretation. Sexual oriantion was left open either purposefully or accident so that fans can pair their characters with just about anypony they want.

There are such things as good-natured pranks that are intended to mess with your friends. I've seen "Troll AJ," "Troll Pinkie," and many other trolls of the mane six, where they weren't being cruel, but they were playing pranks. I personally see both the good-natured pranks and the flames/cruelty as trolling; I believe there are different levels of trollery. On this very picture, I left comments saying that I intended this to be "a lighthearted re-trolling" of Butterscotch. I'm sorry that the name 'Trollestia' offends you, but I don't see that it makes her a bad person...er...pony. Otherwise I wouldn't like and respect her, which I do.

I might actually have to use your idea regarding the Elements of Harmony to justify hooking Celestia and Luna back up in the follow-up to my fanfic Missing Pieces of the Broken Moon. I did say in that fic that I didn't intend to continue it, but I do intend to write a "Season Finale" showcasing all my ships -- and wrapping a couple of them up, including Lunestia.

Anyway I can respect that, each fan as more then enough room to see the characters as they will, and if I haven't I will say now I have no problem with Rarity/Twilight, Rainbow Dash/Pinkie Pie, and even Scootaloo/Sweetie Belle (apart from age) being couples. Even the incest coupling of Applejack/Apple Bloom isn't to bad as I have actually read a pretty good comic that handled incest believablly (brother sister/twins. Though the author messed up other ways by not watching his ego, by pushing in his political outlook, and making his main hero more then a bit sueish... yet no author is perfect). Your write great stories and the pairings feel natural, though I hope once you finish your Applerape fanfictions you might go back and write a fanfiction showing Big Mac in a much more positive light as while it fit in with what you trying to show people... canon Big Mac would never hurt his sisters.

I agree, and I actually love that Celestia is willing to get playful and have fun with her subjects. I guess it is my experiance with trolls that turn me away from liking the term troll used with Celestia. (I also officually hate the troll face, as it is annoying and ruins a perfectly good picture)
I would be honored if you use the idea, so many show Celestia in a negitive light we need more fanfictions that show her more positively... that in many ways she is just as much the victem as Luna. Would you be willing to continue Missing Pieces of the Broken Moon as a commission as I feel it deserves to have it's own fanfiction continuation?

Oh gosh. Well...first off, while the creators and the channel recognize us older fans (I hesitate to say "bronies" because I prefer to be called a "lespony" [my own invention]), the show is still targetted at younger kids, so I doubt we will see any romantic relationships. Only the hints that we've been seeing up till now. Hopefully.

Secondly, Lauren Faust's role in the series has changed, and if the second season changes drastically, I wouldn't consider it the same show even, anymore. That being said, I would add a disclaimer that all my fanfiction is based off of the first season, and yes, ignore something like that. All my fanfiction ideas are already in my head, so unless something stellar happens in Season 2 that I want to include, technically, all my fanfiction will be based off of Season 1 anyway.

Btw, Dash and Pinkie will stay together, because they're actually the first to hook up in my continuity (just after Episode 5), but they are joined by Fluttershy and Spitfire eventually into a four-way relationship. :3 My mini-series, "The Adventures of Pimp Dashie," is going to cover that (and also the orgy Dash suggested to Rarity and Twilight...hee). I have a basic timeline of when my fics occur in relation to the show (the RariTwi one is just after Episode 8; the ScootaBelle one and DAF are after the Gala).

No author is perfect, indeed. Luckily, there's no political outlook to be had in Equestria, and I don't think I'll have ego troubles, given I'm not wildly popular or anything. x3

Thank you for the compliments, and I'm glad the pairings feel natural...that's the most important part of shipping, IMHO. Errrgh...please don't call it "Applerape"...I know I added it as a background fact in the storyline, but I refuse to write actual rape scenes, and a large part of DAF is about dealing with the situation, including the psychological aspect. It's not really about the rape itself -- other ponyfiction authors write rape fetish fics, and I don't want to be lumped in with that horridness. Also, "DAF" is shorter anyway. x3

Another point about DAF is that when dealing with rape, the perpetrator could be anyone, even someone who seems loving and trustworthy to the outside world. Because of that, and because I'm writing along a continuity, I won't be going back to show Big Mac in a positive light. Canon or not, he's a villain in my personal continuity. Some people dislike it, but that's up to them -- their choice to read it or not.

A commission? Really? I don't know... Really, it's a matter of when I'll be inspired to do it. My inspiration bursts are random, so it might take a long time. I guess I would be willing to do it if you hold off on payment till it's finished. I also have to figure out, if I'm gonna do a continuation, what I'm gonna do with the "Total Eclipse of the Heart" song. I don't wanna end up overusing it (there will be an actual eclipse in the "Series Finale" and a concert featuring the CMC, Sapphire Shores, and Luna as singers). XD ok. Personally, I would be doing a fanfic of MLP with a kind of mix: Like half mare and stallion and another half mare to mare or stallion to stallion.
