Description

Clockwork, a robot with a similar story to his best friend, Vaudeville - the most obvious difference being that Clockwork was built in 1896, not in the early 1800s.

His body is made entirely of copper, including his paw pads and nose - they're just painted. Clockwork himself was found in a storage shed much like Vaudeville, however, Clockwork was powered down due to his creator being dissatisfied with the robot, not due to a loss of popularity. He was picked up by Colonel Walter after his son, Peter II, found the robot. Clockwork's creator allowed Peter I to take the robot with him, expressing his dissatisfaction with the automaton. He ended up being a little bit of an experiment as Peter I was still working out how to power the robots with blue matter - it worked out eventually, of course. How else would we have the singing robots if it hadn't? Clockwork went through a few different looks over the years, although a common theme was that he was made of copper. The clock on his chest came around in the 1900s after the Weekend War, of which Clockwork had managed to avoid by not having weapons built into him.

Clockwork never had a clue who Vaudeville was until after he transitioned and the two finally met for the very first time. They hit it off right away, even if he thought Vaudeville was a bit of a diva, and became best friends. The duo was practically inseparable, and despite the fact that robots aren't exactly programmed to feel love and the two are completely oblivious to it, there's a fair bit of chemistry between the two. Even Vaudeville is totally unaware of it, a surprise considering how many vaudevilles he used to watch when they were still a thing. Both Clockwork and Vaudeville are very confused when they're asked if they're dating. (they are they just don't realize it)
