Fire Tutorial — Description
As stated in the tutorial, this is just how I draw fire. There are definitely some conflicts with realism, but it usually gives the effect that I want out of pictures, so it works well for me~

This was made in photoshop, but the principle applies to pretty much any art program. If necessary, switch the larger back glow effects to the first step, in a situation where you don't have disposable layers.
