Description
Clary Fray and her father Valentine Morgenstern from Cassandra Clares' Mortal Instruments books.Valentine is holding the Mortal sword, while Clary is holding her mothers' stele. I really love the dynamic of these two characters. Valentine speaks to Clary as if he has a right to be her father, while Clary is nothing but venomous to him (with good reason) . One of my favorite scenes from the trilogy is the end of the third book, by the lake. But I won't give any spoilers
Anyways, this is just a placement piece, because I'm adding both Sebastian (Jonathon) and Jace to this one and renaming it "Sins of the Father".

This is difficult because I hate him but at the same time I feel kind of sad. I put myself in Clary's shoes and, altough I know that she is stronger than I am, I think that if Valentine treated me like that I would be in a lot of pain.
And I feel sorry for Jace's pain.

I think this is one of the best portrayals I've seen of Clary; this is very much how I pictured her when I read the series.
I never could get a clear idea of what I thought Valentine should look like as I read, but your picture really seems to fit how he was described. Very well done.

Very Nice i love your Shadowing that you put to this picture it is exactly like i would have dont it with only a minner change i would have made one with valentine sebastian(jonathon) jace clary and put her mother in with them all but have her mother close to her and glaring at valentine. i really love the way you have dont this though it is great and i know your "Sins of the Father " will be also. so keep up the good work and ttyl.

I love this! You are always able to draw characters that so fit how I imagine them. I also like that you drew Valentine; he doesn't get a lot of attention but he is a really interesting character, I think.
