Speed Racer redesign — Description

Here he comes, here comes Speed Racer! Yeah, didn't expect this left field pick, right? As a kid of the mid 2000s I grew up with Speed Racer at basically its second prime of popularity from the insane now-cult classic movie and the massive Hot Wheels line. So I decided, why not draw Speed in a modern design mixing the anime and movie looks with modern racing suits! I also gave him Koji Kabuto's side burns because, well, why not? It's become a big joke in the west of Speed Racer being kinda insane, so I felt giving him the Super Robot side burns just fit him like a glove. Also the Mach 5 is blue, not white! I actually used the Mach 5's palette in his outfit. Hope you guys love it!
