Me in my Soundwave cosplay, from Transformers: Prime.I did. yes. I did.

I finished it today (like just now) and the convention starts in an hour. WOOO. I don't have a ride though, I'll end up being very late.
Total time taken: (estimate) Five days worth of work, on and off for a month and a half. Most work done in the last three days (procrastination, wooo!)
Total cost: A little over 90 US dollars. Not bad honestly.
Materials and methods:
Everything is Foamboard covered in a shiny spandex fabric. Everything black you see is the spandex fabric. Purple trim glued on with liquid stitch (a fabric glue). EVERY SINGLE piece of the armor is attached with VELCRO to be removable at will: to adhere to con rules and you know.. so I can sit down and go to the restroom and stuff. And not kill people in the hallways with my arm things.
Anything that isn't foamboard is cardboard (just on the helm really) and the leg armor was made from a bendable sheet plastic (I think it was called 'pattern plastic') again covered in spandex.
It was ALL hand made by me. With blood sweat and sometimes tears XD It was not as easy as it looks, now. Stretching and gluing that fabric was DIFFICULT. I was really worried about how it would turn out at times (the 'tears' part).
It is sooo hard to move around in. It's impossible to get on without help, and I'm going to need assistance at the convention.... plus said assistance can talk for me since I am going to stay in character and keep completely silent unless necessary.
Anyway I worked long and hard on this and I'm tired v.v I love the result though. I look like a short Soundwave!
