The shorter skeleton stared blankly over the shoulder of his brother, his hand lowering itself, the bone he held sticking into the snow.
Papyrus trembled slightly, coughing. He hugged Sans tighter, tears pooling in his eye sockets.
He couldn’t say anything else, he was too weak... He could feel himself starting to disintegrate. If only he had more time.
He..... He didn’t want to... Die...
Sans never moved- not to pull away, or to hug back. He just sat there. Quiet.
It was silent, aside from the ragged breath of the taller skeleton, and the low hum of a Blaster hovering over the pair.
It never fired. It didn’t need to.
Papyrus was already becoming lost to the wind...
