After the death of "Godzilla Heisei" (an event that ended with a film cycle for Toho) the producer chose to continue with the story of a "kaiju" well recognized by its viewers. 🦋
The rebirth of Mothra (1996) tells the story of the last guardian moth that has a larva egg called "Leo", together (mother and son) lived on an island hidden in the ruins of a civilization lost until the day they were found by the enemy.
A Fearful Monster named "Desghidorah" attacked the island and challenged "Mothra", the power of both "Kaijus" caused the hatching of "leo" that he woke up to help his mother; in the middle of a grueling battle “Mothra” manages to escape with her son to get him away from danger.
In the middle of the escape, the wounds of "Mothra" rushed to the sea the last efforts to protect "Leo" who with the greatest sadness 😭 says goodbye to his mother's body while she sank in the deep sea; The little "Leo" manages to swim and finds a mysterious Island and in the shadow of an ancient tree he gets consolation to start his metamorphosis.
Some time after the cocoon, the splendid figure “Mothra Leo” emerged (the son continuing the legacy of his mother.) 😊
