As an extension of “Starship Troopers” and the interstellar battle between the Terran Federation (humans) against the Uropigy Empire (bugs) I present the concept of:
The “Drone Bug” are the juvenile version of the “Warrior Bug”, being smaller and soft-shelled compared to the adults. Due to their inexperience in battle, they remain hidden in the breeding hives and will only attack when they perceive a human threat but do not. They will abandon the nest or the network of tunnels.
To finish, we highlight the courage of Sergeant “Watkins” for maintaining the line of attack until his last breath against 113 arachnids:
