Description
"Broken Mirror"
Since ancient times, there has been a certain belief in culture that vampires are not reflected in mirrors. This is a classic trope that reinforces the theme of vampirism.
At the same time, even if such a detail is absent from the lore itself, it only reinforces the overall tragedy of the theme of vampirism: prejudices and misconceptions about the true nature of vampirism give rise to empty myths that only reinforce alienation and hatred.
But in addition to hinting at the vampire essence, it also contains another theme: heritage, denial of one's own nature, pain, but also inevitable healing.
We are an eternal reminder of our legacy, which we can observe in the reflection of a mirror. Being broken, it would seem that it cannot reflect and remind us of the tragic past, which brings only pain and suffering. The tangled branches of the thorn bush that frame it only confirm and reinforce the feeling of pain, preventing the festering wound from healing.
But golden blood flows from the cracks, making it clear that no matter what you do, your past is part of you, and it will always be reflected in your nature, your words, your eyes, and your features.
Gold also symbolises immortality (the character is an immortal vampire). In ancient China, it was believed that in order to achieve healing and eternal life, it was necessary to drink a mixture of precious metals, including gold. And in European culture, alchemists sought to create an elixir of immortality or a philosopher's stone that would turn everything into gold.
The thorn bush is gradually overgrown with white moss. Although moss symbolises eternal life and a connection with the ancient, it also has many healing properties.

"Caliptra"
Caliptra is a genus of butterflies known for some of its members that feed on blood. Being delicate and fragile creatures that inspire a sense of beauty in the soul, they are forced to depend on the life energy of others. This is their norm. Their physiology. Vampirism is not a supernatural perversion, but part of nature itself.

"A little about clothing"
Specifically, we will talk about brooches, because it's a black opal.
Mysterious and full of secrets, black opal resembles dried blood, flashing with scarlet and orange sparks. In some cultures it also symbolises endless sorrow and mourning, but the hidden fire inside reflects a fragile hope.
-----------------------
"Beloved"
The beloved stands behind the character, like something ephemeral. A fleeting and beautiful vision.
As you can see, there are two main colours in the work: blue and yellow (gold). I have already written about the symbolism of yellow, but blue in heraldry and psychology reflects calmness, peace, freedom and tranquillity.
-----------------------
In fact, there are many more symbols in the work, but this is an overview of just a few of them.
