Honestly, I think this would be a far more interesting movie than what the Sonic movie is ultimately shaping up to be. I mean, think about it, we have a lot of movies where some kind of fantastic/magical thing ends up in our world (usually New York for some reason), they react to our culture (with a lot of product placement), wacky shenanigans follow, and in the last act they fight a villain and then go back to their world. We see this in movies like The Smurfs, Enchanted, Masters of the Universe, The Beastmaster II, and the movie this one gets compared to a lot, Hop, and they’re all pretty much ad-libbed from each other with no real aversions.
What if it was the opposite? What if a normal human from our world ended up in a world inhabited entirely by anthropomorphic animals, how would they react, how would we react, how different would this world be from our own? I know Isekai anime are a thing, but usually those are normal humans from our world interacting with humans in another world (which is usually a medieval fantasy setting for some reason), or players of a video game like in Sword Art Online. We haven’t really seen something like what this picture portrays in which a normal person ends up in a world of cartoon animals, and though I doubt Hollywood would ever make such a film (for a number of reasons), but it would certainly be better than what we’re getting with the Sonic movie.

What you say is true. I'm sure there are a few examples out there like Warriors of Virtue(iirc) and Epic(kinda?). But like you say, it's unlikely that they'll go all the way with it for reasons just yet.

There's no name for the "cartoon/fantasy world character coming to the real world" genre, but I like to call it the "Reverse Isekai" genre because Isekai usually involve someone from our world going into a fantasy world. Personally I'd love to see this movie you have here, because we have anthro animal characters come to our world in these kind of movies, why not someone from our world going to a furry world?

If only. But, I can recommend you an upcoming movie that might suffice.
