Alvin and the Chipmunks - Bumpy Ride — Description

The chipmunks are at an amusement park one day, and while there, Alvin and Brittany argue over which ride to go on. Brittany wants to ride the bumper cars while Alvin wants to go on the Lightning Road roller coaster. Eleanor then offers a suggestion. However, after taking Eleanor's suggestion, all the chipmunks become incredibly frightened - clinging onto each other while riding the "bumper coaster."
This is perhaps a nostalgia piece, but I'm not sure exactly when or how I originally thought of this basic idea. It could have been as early as 2024, but the original idea was just a picture in which Alvin and Brittany are at an amusement park. It was apparently about a year ago (late September of 2025) that I decided to turn the idea into a comic - and added the concept of the "bumper coaster."
In the drawing, the concept isn't exactly clear, but basically, one goes up along the rails really high in the air - and then slides downward - only to be stopped just before falling off the rails. Then, a car from behind slides down and bumps into the car ahead - causing that car to be propelled forward - and through the air - to the next section of rails. Of course, Uncle Harry would be the type to have a ride like that.
Anyway, the summer of 1999 was when I first became a fan of the chipmunks, and it also happened to be when I rekindled my love for my old Kidsongs tapes. I later happened to think that Kidsongs and the chipmunks had some things in common - although I won't elaborate on that in this description. Here, Brittany is holding a VHS tape of the video in which Kidsongs was set at an amusement park, and she also has a View-Master - a reference to View-Master's affiliation with Kidsongs.
Also, Uncle Harry's Carobreeze is a parody of the amusement park Carowinds, which spans both North Carolina and South Carolina. Similarly, Lightning Road is a parody of the old ride Thunder Road. I have been to Carowinds twice, and on my second visit, I got to ride Thunder Road. When I think of riding roller coasters, Thunder Road has tended to come to mind, and it's a shame that it was torn down a number of years ago.
There is a sign with a bumper car since I realized when I started drawing that I didn't have room to show any bumper cars behind the railings. Also, I not surprisingly had trouble drawing the chipmunks in the second panel since I had to draw them small.
The chipmunks are in the style of the Ruby-Spears version of Alvin and the Chipmunks. One reason is that I liked that version better when I was a kid compared to the styles in the sixth through eighth seasons, and another reason is that the Ruby-Spears version seems very underrepresented in fan works.
