Made in Apophysis. Fullsize is 1600x1200. Other sizes on request. This is my 51st deviation so I broke one of my usual fractal purist rules and incorporated a fractal starfield as well in Photoshop, using Glitterato, just for the heck of it. I have been considering doing some mixed media with fractals lately. Still have not decided. Altering fractals other than just adjusting a gradient or something breaks the underlying mathematical purity (and is considered by many people to make it a non-fractal), but I am weighing whether it may be worth doing that occasionally for aesthetic reasons. If I do, I will always note it, for those of you who care about such things. Admittedly the alteration here is completely evident.
