Last night I was thinking that you see cute happy kissing pictures, and you see hot naked action pictures, but nobody ever draws the steps in between. So. Xel and Lina totally making out.

Was originally a pencil drawing. Ran it through Painter. I've been trying to actually show a paper grain when using Painter's watercolors. Also I've been CAREFULLY experimenting with the airbrush. I think about 5 years ago I swore off computer airbrush tools because perfectly smooth washed-out highlights are too fake. But after applying solid highlights with other tools, going back in over them with very low-density airbrush work gives a nice soft hint of lighting. It's just overuse that kills.

Other than that...Xelloss and Lina are my favorite pairing. I don't draw them enough. nn;
