Description
It sure has been a while since I had the inspiration to draw a big picture like this.
I haven’t been very active on DA lately because my off-line commission list started to get kind of long. So I decided to put all personal projects and fan-art aside until I had finished all painting commissions I could.
I'm far from done yet, but I thought I had finished enough commissions to earn myself some art of free choice ^^.
Super Mario Galaxy is one of my favorite games when it come to the Super Mario series. It may not be a very challenging game, but I rather like it for its beautiful graphics and backgrounds.
I didn't like the sequel very much on the other hand. But at least it included Yoshi

Peach likely still kidnapped and the mail toad I forgot about. xD

Okay. I would’ve assumed that this takes place after the events of the game.

I really liked this game too
But it was still a lot of fun, interesting story and characters (for a Mario game) and I really loved the atmosphere and the pretty graphics.

I love this game. I wish we could see Rosalina's parents in Galaxy 3.

And also a new ability: Time Travel - At certain points in the game you'll be given the ability to time travel, changing seasons to fit the right situation and etc… And in the observatory, when you time travel you go to what happened in Rosalina's childhood. That will be cool...

I like it too ^^.
I have heard people who claims that Rosalina's parents are Luigi and Peach from an AU or different timeline.
But personally I doubts that's the case.

Rosalina was never born from Mario and Luigi's parents.

That's not really what I meant. I said that some fans claims that Rosalia is the daughter of Luigi and Princess Peach from an alternative timeline.
I don't believe it myself. It's just what I sometimes hears from other gamers

Very nice, and surrean pic. Love how well you recreated the Comet Observatory and it's passengers. My only minor critiqueis Rosalina's nose looks a bit off.
I actually kinda prefered the sequel, (as it was more challenging, and it's levels seemed more Mario-like to me) but the original's hub area (the Comet Observatory) was cooler admittedly, and it had more Doomship levels. The intro scene was pretty cool too.

Thank you
I liked the story and characters better in the first Galaxy game since I thought the one in sequel was a little weird and rushed, more like a spin of rather than a sequel.
But it was still fun to play and I liked that it included Yoshi.

Oh, you are very welcome!

Pretty sweet way you drew the observatory. It's a bit more compact it seems but it works. I actually left my game on to study it one time. Ah, the dedication... or obsession... hm, I have yet to answer that...

Lägg ned dina kommisioner(?) mer strukturellt så att du hinner med. Ta inte åt dig för mycket. Snygg bild.

Få försöka det. Blir lätt att man ta sig an för mycket ^^.
