Contest Entry: My Poor Baby — Description
One day, after a rough night of attacking Dr. Robotnik's forces, Sonic the Hedgehog wakes up to greet his brother, sister, and mother for breakfast. However, Aleena, the former Queen and rightful ruler, could see that her son is under the weather, and insisted that he return to bed to get some rest. It didn't take too long for our stubborn hero to oblige, albeit begrudgingly. After all, his head was pounding, his throat felt dry, and he had dizziness upon standing. While he slept, his mother took care of him, hoping that her baby would get better soon.

I've been watching a lot of Sonic SatAM and Underground, which is what inspired me to make this. I would have had Uncle Chuck take care of him, but the contest didn't say anything about Guardians. Out of anyone, I see Queen Aleena as Sonic's mother, since I grew up watching Underground. Plus, she's kind, wise, brave, not to mention tragic, and absolutely beautiful! She's the kind of Mother Sonic needs. It was really fun to draw these two together. Sonic just doesn't spend a lot of time with his mother.
