She had come to a halt and turned her back beside a tree. But much to her dismay, he was close.

The young woman had tried her best to outrun him. She even took a few hits with her pipe in order to slow him down, and yet he continued to pursue. He was relentless, and the apprentice knew that it was only a matter of time before she would exhaust.

She wasn't an official proxy, but knew enough of what to do if danger did come her way. However, the forest was more difficult to navigate than she anticipated, and Jeff was getting closer.

Now she waited as the foodsteps of her hunter drew near.

The girl clenched her teeth but was too scared to ready her pipe in defense. Slenderman had appeared, and even with her back turned she could feel the entities aura beside the tree.

Although the tall being stood in the way of the attacker, the Slenderman knew that the killer would not back down so easily.

He wanted this kill. He wanted bloodshed.

More accurate story according to AzuruYaoi:

The girl is unknowingly adopted by Slenderman, who watches from afar.
One day she meets Jeff, and try to be her friend, but he's crazy and so try's to kill her. So she flees to the forest.
Slenderman apparently gets angry and goes to defend her.
