Description Because Xyphrin Don't have eyes...

They don't need eyes to see you

So yeah! 's never ending quest for sexy creepypasta got me thinking of scp containment breach. And I did so end up playing again. Which brings me to the only scp I really think is actually creepy. And that's the Doctor Who rip off known as scp 173. Basically a statue that can only move if you blink. And kills you if you do blink. More so - it snaps your neck. The creature itself is made of concrete and rebar if you don't know the creepypasta story. And it basically leaves blood and poo all over the floor. Eww... So yeah living statue that kills you if you don't keep looking at it.

And that got me thinking what a lovely pairing a Xyphrin wearing one of their encounter suit would be to face off against scp 173! Why? They have no eyes! They have no necks either! The Xyphrin don't need eyes to see because they have their sensory pits. These pits can see, hear, smell, and to a limited degree- taste you. They can also see your heat and energy outputs. As can they pick up any signals you are sending or partials you are emitting. Basically they are the biological equivalent to advances scanners. And they never need to blink! even for a second!
Perfect for a job like this! And though the Xyphrin even in their encounter suits are more or less as physically frail as a human - their contaminator claw- isn't! That thing can crush solid concrete into gravel! And that's not the worst part!

The reason the Xyphrin are universally feared despite their lack of physical strength - is the fact that the Xyphrin are basically a living walking disease! Their amphibious bodies are coated in a thin layer of slime that carries an incurable fungus. One that infects everything it touches. This fungus slowly eats away at the hosts body and makes it's way to the eyes where it settles into a parasite form. It then turns the host into the new eyes and ears of the Xyphrin as the fungus drains the body of nutrients until dead. Turning the victim into an unwitting spy.

And as if not bad enough- there's still the contaminator claw! The Xyphrin use this massive hand covered in goop - to spread another incurable disease! A horrifying zombie virus that turns it's victim into a rotting zombie slave. And it doesn't matter if target is biological or not! The same zombie virus is actually another fungi like organism that can dig into a non biological construct and lay down deep roots. It then drains any power, fluid, and or materials from the mechanisms body. It also takes advantage of any components or weapons it can find. By assimilating them into it's new form. Once large enough - it rips through the hosts frame and comes out as a hodgepodge of whatever materials it was able to gather from the host or the surrounding area during it's incubation period. Essentially it becomes a mecha zombie! One that is also capable of further infecting additional victims. And "That" is what makes the Xyphrin so dangerous!

Thus why I took the liberty of pairing these two in a lovely fight to the death. Although - it wouldn't be much of a fight at all... In short the Xyphrin don't need to blink. Ever. No eyes... But they can see everything you do better than human eyes ever could! They are the raw power of biology unleashed! And nothing not even that which is not flesh and blood - can stand it their way.... It also helps that Xyphrin can see just fine in the dark!

This is the moment when the Xyphrin contaminator utilizes it's height advantage and the fact that SCP 173 cannot move while being looked at. This is the moment right before that evil little jellyfish in a giant biological combat suit- bitch-slaps it's helpless victim into the next zip code and infests it's stony skull with it's twisted seed.

As I said - good match up! Terror of the Deep - v - living sculpture of death!

I like it!
