i love my obie.animals were never meant to be diminished into secondary creatures, caged up and outside of their habitats, used and abused for mans personal gain.

This is an incredibly beautiful cat -- I love this picture. I didn't watch the complete video either, too upsetting. One thing is for sure though, I am glad I am and always have been a vegetarian. I could never understand the connection with humans eating animals from the get go. To each his own.

Thank you for the link. It's not the first documentary on the subject I've seen, but still I can't stop thinking of it. Everyone should see this documentary. Most of the predators hidden inside of us do not understand compassion and respect, do now know what love means and that's why we're killing each other and everyone around. I hope one day we'll open eyes and hearts, but right now most of the eyes are still shut to suffering of anyone. Sometimes even don't see their own pain but believe that's what the world is and what should be.

i've been asked that a few times, but to tell u the truth im not sure- she's a cross between a few varieties i think as the parents weren't pure breed for sure...

Beautiful picture! I watched the video in your link, and I must say, very depressing but informative and educational. Everyone in the world should watch it, even though there were times I couldn't see because I was tearing up too much. It's always so hard to convey the importance of this message too, since some people just complete dismiss it that it doesn't sink in that if the exact same thing were done to them, they would have second thoughts. I love animals and find my empathy towards them a gift. I wish there were an easy solution to a problem of this magnitude.
