This is the cover for The Rifter #56. The art itself is based on a fan supplement in the Rifter set in the Rifts/After the Bomb setting known as Mutants in Orbit.Following Earth's near destruction, the orbital colonies were cut off and isolated from the planet and now survive on their own againt each other and the occasional alien invader. Many of the citizens are mutant animals, like the human/lion hybrid seen here.
After The Bomb is the descendant of the old Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles role-playing game, thus the mutant animals theme.
