Basically, Peter has a dufel bag FULL of so many different puppets, each have different personalities and traits.
Each puppet is alive, and has a wire that when put onto Peters hand, will insert into one of the veins in his wrist, and slowly stretch out to his brain, which gives the puppet control of Peters body.
When Peter does not have a puppet on his hand, he is basically not alive, though he is.
Just unconscious.
He was known to be disabled from birth, so his mother made puppets for him, though after she died, they ended up each absorbing her soul, and gaining life.
They became attached to Peter as family.
Peter now collects Puppets, and no matter what, the new ones he gets ALWAYS manage to absorb his mothers soul.
