Description On a long road, miles to go
Its winding and cold and its covered with snow
But I ask you what we all want to know
Where are we going from here...

Lines on my face, lines on my hands
Lead to a future I don't understand
Some things don't go as they're planned...
Where are we going from here...

Tracing the trails through the mirrors of time
Spinning in circles with riddles in rhyme
We lose our way, trying to find
Searching to find our way home...
Trying to find our way home...

Blackmore's Night - Where Are We Going From Here

Haven't we all felt one time or another that we have no idea where we are and where we should go? Haven't we all just felt totally lost? Without direction? Without knowing what future holds?

The problem with that kind of moments is that we feel alone.. we feel helpless and lost. We are lost.. but unless we get lost, there is no way we can find a right way again. And that is a thought I could keep on my mind, on a moment like that. That getting lost is just a part of the process. It is a state we need to be, to transform into next state - knowing where we are going.. knowing what we want and how we want it. We all should remember that and keep faith in our heart and seek for that something that would be our compass and point us to the right direction. We wish it would be in the shape of compass but things are not that easy. Usually the compass is in a place we least expect and all we have to learn, and take with us, from being lost, from failing and falling.. is that we will rise again.. and when we do, we have learned from that.. and there will be a direction for go...

I wanted to make my first steampunk work. I am not sure it is steampunk enough.. The other main thing I wanted with this image, was to play with rain. I spent majority of time with this piece cutting out the gate (ohh...) and playing with just little raindrops, drawing them one way and another way.. The angle of the model shot (what I really loved) was tricky. I am not sure I got everything right in the end.. but they look much more "logical" than quite a many tries I tried before this. And the third major thing I played in this case were the colors. I am not totally happy that every light is where it should be.. but I just loved the idea that part of the image is warm yellow.. and other cold blue. So, excuse me the little unlogical color schema.

I hope you like it.. and never stop looking for your right direction...
