Description An iconic mainstay in the armory of science fiction, the M41A Pulse Rifle was first introduced in the 1986 sci-fi action film "Aliens" directed by James Cameron. Since it's introduction, the rifle has been seen throughout the AVP franchise.

According to the AVP mythos, the M41A Pulse Rifle was manufactured by Armat Battlefield Systems and introduced by the year 2171. It was based on the Weyland Storm Rifle and the Harrington Automatic Rifle and became the standard issued rifle of the United States Colonial Marines. Composed of extremely lightweight materials and weighing just under 5lbs, the Pulse Rifle fires a maximum of 900 rounds per minute. It features a side-mounted digital ammo counter on the right hand side as well as a retractable metal stock. The weapon's primary ammunition is a 10×24mm explosive tipped caseless standard light armor piercing M309 round in a magazine that can hold 95-99 rounds. The weapon comes with different underslung secondary weapons, but the most common is the 30mm U1 Pump-Action Grenade Launcher firing and holding 4 M40 HEDP Grenades.

Behind the scenes, the M41A is based around the Thompson M1A1 as it's primary and a cut-short Remington 870 as it's secondary.
