Chester — Description

Here’s a series of drawings I’ll be doing here: Drawing the Hybeasts in poses and color schemes. I’m not very good at dynamic angles, so bear with me here.

Personality: Despite his Y2K fashion sense, Chester is a nervous wreck, and won’t hesitate to remind you. Being a cheetah hybrid, that’s not much of a shock, since cheetahs are wired for flight rather than fight. Even so, he’ll still run into danger head first when it’s time for action, often times literally. If someone he loves, or a ton of people are in danger, he’ll stop whatever is being such a threat with maximum efficiency. However, his abusive childhood has definitely given him some deep-seated confidence issues, often resulting in him second guessing himself.
Powers: Even with these psychological shortcomings, Chester is still a formidable force to be reckoned with, running over opponents like a steam train on legs, or T-boning them like a hot-rod that’s jacked up on caffeine and sugar, and just got a shiny new V8 engine. The most interesting thing about Chester isn’t just his speed, rather his acceleration. He’s able to move in literal explosive bursts of speed, going from zero to 150 in just a second. Be propelling himself by expelling flames from the spots on his body, he’s able to boost his speed more like a NASA space shuttle that’s fueled purely by lattes and fearing the worst. His fighting style hasn’t seen him master a single technique, but he’s particularly good at capoeira, as his breakneck speed allows him to just break the necks of any goons with high-momentum based spinning and kicking, quite literally breakdancing.
